Wiltshire Council and Trowbridge Town Council are committed to ensuring that the community has a way of having its voice heard. In order to try to achieve this they support TCAF by funding it’s two part-time project officers who have a remit to work independently from either council.
On Friday we said an official goodbye to Doug Ross who has been one of TCAF’s Project Officers for the past 6 years! Doug was recently described as ‘The Trowbridge Man from Aberdeen’ as he has committed much of his life both in a voluntary and paid capacity in helping Trowbridge be the very best it can for its community.
Kate Oatley has worked alongside Doug as Project Officer and will continue to share the post with me on Doug’s departure (although Doug has kindly agreed to continue to support TCAF’s work so I don’t think he’ll ever be far away).
So your new joint project officer is me Tracy Sullivan. Just so you know a little bit about me here’s a quick run down: I moved to Trowbridge 14 years ago and have become increasingly involved with the community; first through working in a Marsh Stores in Hilperton (that might seem a bit odd but actually working in a community shop and garage was a really good way to begin to feel part of the community). Eight years ago following some study, other work in the area and having had two children ,I began working at The Arc Theatre and was Director there for two years. I then became much more engaged with the strategic development of the town. I am currently a Development Manager for the arts across Wiltshire, which I do alongside my TCAF work and am a Governor of a local school also.
So that’s enough about me! I’ll be taking on the responsibility for this website and hope to make it as up to date and interactive as possible.
Both Kate and I welcome comments, feedback and thoughts (particularly offers of help, do look at the volunteering page I’ve just created) so please feel free to contact us by email tcaf@trowbridge.gov.uk or by telephone 01225 765072
